Sunny Lenarduzzi is next-level on Instagram.

Recently, I watched a YouTube video from social media marketing specialist Sunny Lenarduzzi about how she doubled her following on Instagram and honestly, it was so great and insightful that I just want to share her points with you here.

There are lots of factors that go into really maximizing your social media engagement on Instagram. Sunny gave 7 factors to watch for, so let’s roll…

Timing

The time of day you post is really important. It’s one of those small tweaks that can really help you out. She recommended an app called “When to Post.” It’s free, I got it, and it analyzes my audience to tell me when they are most active.

Distribution

Whenever Sunny posts to her feed, she also creates a story from it to let people know she has a new post to go look at. Simple, but effective.[vc_single_image image=”9765″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://yn344.isrefer.com/go/IGC/SHK/”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1573321081986{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

Interaction

Go and comment on your followers’ posts and use more than 4 words. That turns it into a “rich comment” according to Instagram and means more. Also, Sunny suggested going back and liking comments others have made on your previous post to alert them that you are about to post or have posted again.

Metrics

Take a look at your insights/metrics at least once a week to see what kinds of content is getting a reaction and make more stuff like that.

Consistency

We’ve talked about being consistent a lot here, so you should know by now that whether you post 3 times a week or 7 days a week, keeping it consistent builds trust and is a good thing.

Planning

She uses an app called Planoly, but I use Later. They essentially are the same and both help you preview your feed before you post, so you can make sure it will look good.

Bonus: Make it personal

As a bonus, Sunny suggested using the voice note feature in Instagram’s DM’s. It will make you stand out and create a very personal touch to your brand that will delight and surprise your audience. I actually did this today and enjoyed it a lot and will probably do more in the future. How cool of an idea for your church, right? Just like her fans were like “Whoa! Sunny Lenarduzzi sent me a voice message!” your members would be thrilled to hear from you or your pastor too. It’s like the digital hand-written note.
